One other way I would make sure parents' voices are heard is to possibly work on an education plan specific to one child if needed. For children with special needs, this would be helpful as it allows them to still be in the classroom as separating them could have negative effects on their mental health. It also allows these children to get the accommodations they need without removing them from a social environment where they can connect with their peers. In Gina’s case, it was very important that she be around her peers but also have her own education plan, so something like this would work well for her.
Welcome class!
One more way I as a teacher would make sure parents' voices are heard is to make sure that I am always available to contact for any type of discussion on a parent's child. A way this would be implemented could just be through email or some sort of messaging app. It is very important that if a parent feels they need to discuss their child’s education they are able to reach out immediately to get whatever issue they have solved. In doing this, a healthy parent-teacher relationship can be made which will lead to a successful education.
Yes of course we can set up a meeting!
THE END
