- This is significant because Napoleon got money to fight in the Napoleonic wars. He actually won against a large portion of Europe because of this money. Thomas Jefferson got all of this land which would be where his idea of the American man would live. From his perspective, he was getting everything that he wanted.

In the eyes of the Mexicans, they were just chasing American forces out of their territory. The Mexican government had never respected Texas as its own government. This entire affair reminds me of the Pig War

It's from the Pig War video (Please let us watch in Class). This was significant to the British because they lost some land because American settlers had taken it from them, again.

- This was significant to the Americans because they had finally gotten Indians off of THEIR land and didn't have to worry about them anymore. This was significant to the Indians because they all lost their spiritual lands to white settlers and were forced onto reservations. They tried peace and then were forced into war ( I would like to say that this was a terrible moment in U.S. history).
