- He swam for the island and finally made it, he was greeted by two mysterious figures. Their names were Ivan and general Zaroff.

- Rainsford is so surprised to have been told that general Zaroff, the owner of the island, wants to hunt him as prey. He hunts humans because he thinks hunting animals is to easy.

- Rainsford climbed through the window to general Zaroff's room to end his nightmare. General Zarroff challenged Rainsford to a duel, the winner would live.
