  •  1st QTR financials  GP up 22% Expenses up 18%  Profits up 4.2%
  • Steve and Sam, our first quarter GP is up over 20% which is a first for our company, GREAT JOB! However, our expenses seem to be significantly higher as well. I need you both to look to see if we can cut that back some if possible. 
  • Andy is always looking at the glass half empty. He needs to back off the pressure he is putting on us or he will be losing sales reps. 
  • You think so? You seem angry with the meeting we had. I did not feel Andy's intent was to hurt anyones feelings rather to say congratulations on reaching a new milestone. If we manage our expenses we could be in for our biggest bonuses ever. 
  • I felt like Andy was talking directly at me when he mentioned we need to lower our expenses. Last month I took my newest customer on a PR trip to the Brewer game and we had to get a hotel because my company car broke down.

  • Andy has always been a straight shooter Steve. I feel as if he was directing that to you he would have pulled you aside to have that conversation. 
  • Steve, I am concerned about the amount of stress you have been under lately with taking on so much of the work load from Joe quitting. Are you ok?
  • There is a lot of stress building up as I am uncomfortable talking to Andy about the workload. I am noticing tension in my muscles, and feel sick a lot lately. 
  • Let's talk to Andy about this. I would be willing to be part of the discussion if you would like. If you keep bottling up these emotions you will explode and that could jeopardize your job and your family life. 
  • Thank you Sam! I have been struggling to manage my emotions and I did almost explode in our meeting this morning. 
  • Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Let's collaborate after work today and build a game plan together. 
  • Andy, thanks for the update yesterday and keeping Steve and I informed of our progress. We wanted to chat quick about the possibility of backfilling Joe's position so we can move even further ahead with our growth. Steve and I both feel some stress from the extra workload and wanted to communicate this with you.
