  • O, he is the courageous captain of compliments. He fights like a musician-keeps time, distance, and proportion: one, two, and, the third in you bosom!
  • Juliet goes to her balcony were she doesn't know that Romeo is standing there. Juliet, talks to herself not knowing Romeo is in her garden, she asks why Romeo is Romeo being a Montague, and a enemy to her family. She says that if he would refuse his Montague name, or if he would swear that he loved her, she would refuse her Capulet name. She says that she has strong feelings towards Romeo and want him to says that he loves her as much as she does towards him.
  • In the early morning, Friar Lawrence goes into the garden, holding a basket. He fills the basket with various weeds, herbs, and flowers. He fears that Romeo may have not slept because of his love with Rosaline. Romeo says that did not happen, and tells his new love for Juliet, and intents to marry her.
  • Mercutio and Benvolio wonder what happened to Romeo the night before. Benvolio heard from a Montague servant that Romeo did not return home, Benvolio says that Tybalt has sent a letter to Romeo challenging him to a duel. He wonders if Romeo is man enough to defeat Tybalt. Mercutio describes Tybalt as a master swordsman, perfectly proper and composed in style, but also as a villain .
