- We learn more about the sanctuary and the three women who serve as surrogate mothers for the bonobos. Mama Brunelle, Mama Evangeline, and Mama Maria-France are the women who take care of the bonobos.
- Part 3: Chapter 8
- Sophie’s mom leaves to take the adult bonobos to their ‘safe island’ and on the way back Patrice is stopped by fake police.
- Part 3: Chapter 10
- The President of Congo was shot and killed leaving the country without protection and leadership. Sophie will be picked up and taken to the airport to leave the Country.
- Part 3: Chapter 13
- The kata-kata men made their way to the sanctuary and killed everyone. Sophie and Otto are still in the enclosure with the adult’s bonobos.
- Sophie is able to get her duffle bag without the guards seeing her, but when she saves Shongololo the guards see them and chase them into the enclosure. (Guards do not get in)
- Sophie and Otto have been in the enclosure for two weeks. The soldiers are not leaving the sanctuary and Sophie discovers that the fence is off.
