- I watch as Dally bad-mouths some pretty soc girls. The red headed one starts to get annoyed and yells, while the other tries to ignore it.
- Dally leaves and brings back sodas for the girls, only to have the red head throw it in his face. He continues, but to everyone's shock, quiet, nervous little Johnny speaks up and tells him to quit it. The girls turn out nice and tell us their names, Cherry and Marcia, as well as a little about themselves.
- Leave her alone, Dally

- Leave us alone!
- Johnny...He's been hurt bad sometime hasn't he?
- Okay, greasers, you've had it.
- Me and Cherry go to get popcorn's for the group, and she asks me if Johnny has been hurt really badly. I tell her what had happened that scary night.
- Two-Bit scares us to death with his perfect Socs voice impersonation. Johnny turns white with fear, and I can't help but think that Two-Bit should have known better then to do that to Johnny after what had happened to him.
- It was the Socs...This is what happened
- I tell her the story that I hate talking about so much, when some Socs attack Johnny while he is looking for our football. The worst part is that he starts crying, and Johnny never cries no matter how hurt he is, because he is used to it from his parent's beatings and neglect. His sobs were because of the threats the Socs had said to him.
- Cherry understands and is sad, but I tell her that we should go back. Before we do, she tells me that Socs don't have it as easy as we think. I say I believe her, but inside, I think that, what could be better than that?
- I know it's hard to believe, but us Socs don't have it easy either...
- I believe you...
