"I no longer felt anything except for the lashes of whip." "One! Two!" He was counting (Wiesel 57). This is a man vs man conflict because he was getting beat by a whip. He was getting beat by another man.
Man Vs God
"What had happened to me? My father had just been struck, in front of me, and I hadn't even blinked" (Wiesel 39). This is man vs self because he was being torn inside. He was torn because he watched his father get struck in the face.
Man Vs Society
"I let myself slide to the ground. Only now do I feel the extent of my weakness" (Wiesel 88). This is man vs nature because the weather impacted their physically stability. The snow and cold had made them weak.
"God knows what I would've done to sleep a few moments. But deep inside, I knew that sleep meant to die" (Wiesel 90) This is man vs god because he had faith that god would allow him to rest. Then he realized that meant death.
"Look at the fire! Look at the flames! Flames everywhere..." (Wiesel 26). This is man vs society because Elie had to quiet down a other Jew who is making a scene.
