Zheng He and his crew went to Brunei, Java, Thailand, Southeast Asia, India, the Horn of Africa, and Arabia, impressing everyone on their way.

On his way back to China, Zheng He managed to suppress a pirate uprising. He captured Chen Zuyi, a feared pirate captain, and took him Nanjing to be punished.

Zheng He sent 68 ships to Calicut to celebrate the inauguration of a new king. Although He organized this expedition, he did not attend.

For his third voyage, Zheng He lead 48 troops and 30,000 ships to many of the same places they went the first time, including Malacca on the Malay peninsula and Ceylon (Sri Lanka). He got in a fight with the King of Ceylon and ended up capturing him and his soldiers and taking them to Nanjing.

4 voyages later and 26 years, Zheng He died in Calicut. They buried him at sea and his men returned to China.
