The three witch sisters are discussing when they should meet again.
Act 1Scene 1
King Duncan, Malcolm, Lennox and Ross discuss Macbeth killing someone in war for King Duncan.
Scene 2
The three witches tell Macbeth that he is the Thane of Cawdor
"All hail Macbeth, that shall be King hereafter"
Scene 3
King Duncan and Macbeth (along with Malcolm) meet for the first time since the battle
Scene 4
In an aside, Macbeth says Malcom is standing in his way.
Lady Macbeth Receives a letter from Macbeth telling her that they are going to be King and Queen.
Lady Macbeth doesn't think Macbeth is harsh enough and pours her evil spirit into his ear, so he can do what he needs to do.
Scene 5
Messenger
Lady Macbeth is leading King Duncan and Banquo into her castle at Inverness.
Scene 6
Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are arguing about killing Duncan.
*Thinking about killing the king*
Macbeth is worrying about what will happen if they fail
Scene 7
"But screw your courage to the sticking-place, and we'll not fail.
(very manipulative saying Macbeth promised her she would be queen)
Banquo is worried about Macbeth, but also states his loyalty to Duncan. Fleance, Banquo's son, is introduced.
Act 2Scene 1
The Dagger Scene soliloquy
Macbeth kills Duncan off stage and plans to frame the chamberlains
Scene 2
Claims she would have killed him herself but he looked too much like her father.
*a persistent knocking occurs after they kill Duncan*
Drunk doorman talks about the three things that happen when drunk
Scene 3
Macduff goes to wake Duncan and finds him dead. Macbeth acts surprised.
Brothers flee for their safety. Malcom to England and Donalbain to Ireland.
Scene 4
Ross and an old man are discussing how unnatural things in nature are happening. They think Malcolm and Donalbain are suspicious because they ran.
Macbeth is trying to persuade the murders by saying he is ill while Banquo is alive but will be healed when he dies. Also, says he would kill him himself, but he can't because they have the same friends.
Act 3Scene 1
Lady Macbeth is telling Macbeth to stop worrying about it. Macbeth decides he is going to take full control and leave Lady Macbeth out of it. They then begin planning a banquet for Macbeth becoming King.
Scene 2
A third murderer shows up, but the other two do not know who he is. They end up murdering Banquo, but Fleance escapes and flees,
Scene 3
The ghost of Banquo enters and sits in place of Macbeth. Lady Macbeth tells everyone to ignore Macbeth because he has been having ¨fits" since he was a child.
Scene 4
Macbeth is going crazy and getting a lot more determined because he is in too deep now.
Scene 5
Hecate is angry with the sisters for leaving her out of all of their mischief they have been causing.
Scene 6
Lennox and a landlord begin to mock Macbethś explanations of the deaths. Everyone is now starting to think Macbeth is responsible.
"Double, double, toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble."
Act 4Scene 1
The witches gave Macbeth three apparitions. 1. Beware of Macduff.2. None of Woman shall harm Macbeth. 3. Until Birnam Wood becomes Dunsinane Hill

Scene 2
Lady Macduff is upset and says that Macduff has abandoned their family. Ross, who is related to them, is there trying to calm her down. Ross ends up leaving, and a murderer comes in and kills Macduff's children and wife.
Ross is coming to tell Macduff the news about his family being murdered.
Scene 3
Malcolm and Macduff are at the palace of Edward the Confessor. Malcolm is starting to get suspicious of Macduff since he left his family in such a vulnerable state. Malcolm starts testing Macduff by talking good about Macbeth to see how he reacts.
Lady Macduff's Gentlewoman and doctor are watching for Lady Macbeth to sleep walk. Lady Macbeth then starts to admit to the murders in her sleep and the doctor orders for them to get anything that she can hurt herself with out of the room.
Act 5 Scene 1
Scene 2
"Those he commands move only in command."
Menteith, Angus, Caithness and Lennox are talking about the war that is forming while near Dunsinane. They say no one really likes Macbeth, they just do what he says because he is their king.
Macbeth orders the doctor to heal his wife, but the doctor says no one can heal her but herself.
Scene 3
Scene 4
Malcolm, Menteith, and Siward are planning to camouflage themselves to trick Macbeth into thinking they have fewer soldiers than they do.
Seyton tells Macbeth that Lady Macbeth has died of self-harm. Macbeth just asks, "Why couldn't she wait until a later time?" because he is getting ready for battle. A servant says he sees the trees moving as if they are getting closer to them, but Macbeth doesn't believe him.
Scene 5
Scene 6
Malcolm, Macduff, and Siward are making a charge. Siward's men went first, and then Malcolm's went second.
Macbeth is holding on to the prophecy that he can't be killed by anyone who is born of a woman, and he kills Young Siward.
Scene 7
Malcolm, Macduff and Siward enter the castle
Macbeth still believes he can't be killed because of the prophecies, but it turns out Macduff was ripped from his mother's womb, so he technically wasn't born of a woman. Macduff defeats Macbeth.
Scene 8
