What is an attribute?
Today class we are going to learn about the attributes of 2D shapes!
Sides
The attributes are the sides and vertices of a shape. Remember vertices are the points where sides meet.
Vertices
But a circle doesn't have any sides!
You will count how many sides and vertices each shape has.
Triangle
Circle
Square
Rectangle
That is correct a circle doesn't have any sides. Let's look at the circle.
Circle
A circle doesn't have any sides or vertices so it has 0 sides and 0 vertices.
0 - Sides0 -Vertices
Square
Our next shape is a square. It has 4 sides and 4 vertices.
4 - Sides4 -Vertices

Triangle
Then, we will look at a triangle. It has 3 sides and 3 vertices.

Rectangle
Finally, we have a rectangle. It has 4 sides and 4 vertices.
