Man Kills Stranger Who Turns Out to be His Father
In yet another fulfillment of a prophecy, the King of Thebes has been killed by his son, Oedipus. The son was sent away from the kingdom to protect his parents, but has found his way back to the city. The confusion that caused the murder was the result of a misunderstanding. Hearing the same prophecy that had him sent away, Oedipus believed he would kill his (adoptive) father, the king of Corinth. However, he killed his true father as per the prophecy, while fleeing from Corinth. The investigation into the case will continue and the story will be updated as more details emerge.
