Siužetinės Linijos Tekstas

  • INTODUCTION/EXPOSITION
  • CONFLICT
  • Elijah, we talked about this before, when I have the money, I will buy it for you. Don't worry, honey.
  • RISING ACTION
  • Do you think our plan will work out?
  • Yes! Just trust me! I done this before.
  • Elijah is a young teenage boy who attends West High school. He has 2 younger sisters, Olivia and Charlotte. His mom is a hardworking single mother, Carol who tries her best to provide for her 3 children. His dad, Apollo passed away in a car accident when Elijah was just a baby. Elijah growing up didn't have much but once he started high school, he wanted to fit in and try to be the cool kid. He was a good kid until he met his soon-to-be best friend, Byron who has been an awful bad influence on him ever since.
  • CLIMAX
  • Elijah wanted these cool shoes that he saw online. He asked his mom if she can buy those for him, but Carol told him specifically, she is saving money for their rent bill. She promises to buy him his shoes once when she is done paying the Landlord.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • Elijah ignores Carol and doesn't take her word. He tells Byron who he sees as an older brother figure. Byron suggests he should steal it. Elijah is quite not sure but he is convinced by him. 2 days before, they make their plan at Byron's house on a school night.
  • CONCLUSION
  • Elijah enters the shoe store, sweat started to trickle down his forehead. When the employees weren't looking, Elijah ran toward the shoes he's been dreaming of wearing. He shoved it under his shirt and walked quietly like a mouse to the front of the store. Elijah starts running outside the store towards the white getaway van where Byron was patiently waiting. Moments later, they hear police sirens. Elijah hops in the van and Byron starts pressing the gas pedal. He's going 80 miles an hour and the police are chasing them on the highway. Soon they reach a dead end, and they get caught. They get questioned and arrested by the cops. Byron and Elijah go to two separate juveniles. Elijah's mom hears the news about her son and is very devastated.
  • Push the gas pedal harder!
  • Elijah spends his 6-months in juvenile. In between those months, he receives letters from his mom and sisters. He reads different kinds of poems. One poem that influenced him positively was, A thousand things went right today by Avril Monrielle. It had a powerful message saying, Your mistakes are just a few, try to focus on the good things and forget about the bad because, my friend, the joy in life will conquer all that's sad. He decides to change his life for the better and spent more time with his family when he gets released.
  • Lights out!
  • Elijah is happily home with his family and is truly grateful. He learns a life lesson from the poem he read while in juvenile to be appreciative of the simple things you have in life. For example, the bed he sleeps on, a roof over him, food on the table, and clothes on his back. Although, shoes are a good essential for you, what matters is the needs and not the wants. Soon, he realizes that he didn't appreciate the simple things until they were taken away just like how those 6 months, his freedom was taken away and he couldn't spend time with his family.
