October 1950 - UNO forces continue pressing northward against the 38th Parallel to unite Korea. American troops pressed forward with little resistance and reached the Yalu River which separates North Korea from China.
Phase 6 - Stalemate leading to an armistice
Fearing an attack in November 1950 The Chinese invaded North Korea. 300,000 Chinese troops went into battle. The UN troops were pushed back to South Korea.

The UNO counter attack January - July 1951. The UNO counter attack forced the Chinese and North Koreans back to the 38th parallel. April 1951 Gen Douglas MacArthur was fired by President Truman because he wanted to use atomic weapons.
July 1951 - Stalemate around 38th Parallel and Negotiation talks held at Panmunjom. July 1953 - Armistice signed. Korea still stays divided by the 38th parallel.
