Odysseus and his men, the few left, sail to Aeaea, home of Circe, to see if she can help them.
"reassured, they all cried out together,and she came swiftly to the shining doors to call them in. All but Eurylochus—who feared a snare—the innocents went after her" -23
Odysseus directs half of his men to go with Eurylochus to explore Circe's palace, while the other half stays with Odysseus.
"she seated them, and lounging chairs, while she prepared a meal of cheese and barley and amber honey mixed with Pramnian wine, adding her own vile pinch, to make them lose desire or thought of our dear father land." - 27
Eurylochus and his platoon see mountain lions and wolves on the floor of her palace, spelled.
"..she shut them in a pigsty—bodies, voices, heads, and bristles squealing, in they went...down to the ship Eurylochus came running.." -33
Circe comes down and sang and the men, all but Eurylochus, go to greet her.
Circe shows the men a plentiful banquet of food, and the men start to drink bewitched wine..
Circe turns all the men but Eurylochus into pigs and locks them in a pig pen! Eurylochus runs for help!
