- baby Oedipus was born, the mom and dad ( king Laius and queen Jocasta) was informed by an prophet that Oedipus was cursed and was going to kill his father and marry his mom in the future
- to avoid any problems the two gave up baby Oedipus, after going through one family and another, when Oedipus got older and was informed about his curse. he ran away from home to find a new place to stay
- on his trail of finding a new place to go, Oedipus ran into some king who would not let him pass through. Oedipus then killed the man ( which was his biological father , he did not know at the time )
