This law was not just because it made both victims guilty.The woman should face the consequence herself, not of death but something that's reasonable for both her and her husband. The should work it out and leave out the other man of their problems.This law only forced them to have one option:death.

This law is not just for society because the city will have to replace the stolen objects.And since the robber was not caught and didn't receive a punishment, this could influence him do it again. Instead they should look for the robber and punish him instead of giving up and paying or replacing the stolen items.

This law was not just because the son hitting the father for any reason even if on accident shouldn't have a punishment of losing a body part.Its not equal to be hit than to lose a body part. Instead of losing a body part they should punish him in a way that is just and equal to being struck.
