In his story "Harrison Bergeron," Kurt Vonnegut makes the point that it is impossible and unrealistic to achieve equality in every aspect among people in society since everyone is different. In the story, the government tried to make everyone equal by doing the most ridiculous things. For example, having the more intelligent people wear devices that would disrupt their thoughts and making some people wear masks to hide their beauty. God made everyone different for a reason. People have different talents and gifts, and they are used to help others . This world would be a boring place if everyone were equal.
