- The setting takes place in Tulsa OK. The date was around 1950. The season was in the Fall and it was getting colder.
- Climax
- Johnny was in the park when Bob and his gang came up and were drunk. Bob was trying to drown Ponyboy and kill him so Johnny acted quick and killed Bob.
- Falling Action
- When Johnny killed Bob him and Pony were scared that they would get in a lot of trouble so they left town and went to Windexville. They sated in the church for 3 days alone .
- resolution
- When Pony and Johnny were leaving they looked back in the car and saw that the church was on fire. Johnny went back in the church to save the little kids inside and pony followed.
- After the fire pony and johnny were hurt but Johnny was hurt the worst and he died. Also Pony has to go to court to see if he can stay with Darry and soda.
- At court Pony gets to stay with Darry and he is happy. Also he starts going to school and his English grade is bad so he writes this book to get his grade up.
