- Me Sir! Matter is anything that takes up space and have mass
- Sir the 3 main states of matter are solid, liquid & gas
- Solidsparticles are packed tightly together, so they don't move muchparticles will vibrate but cannot move past each othersolids have a high density.particles have low kinetic energysolids have definite shape, mass & volume

- Liquidsparticles are more loosely packed than a solid & able to flow around giving the liquid an indefinite shapeliquids conform to the shape of its containerliquids have a lower density than solids and hard to compress
- Gas particles have space between them and have high kinetic energygas have no definite shape or volumeif unconfined particles will spread out indefinitely
