  • Three years before Isaac was born, father had died. Isaac Newton, one of the most brilliant scientists in the world was born on January 4th, 1643 and lived in a poor family. When Isaac was young he studied at King's school and was one of the top students. When Isaac was about to finish his studies, his mom pulled him out of school to work as a farmer. It was only through the intervention of the headmaster was Isaac able to pass and go to Trinity college, Cambridge.
  • At Cambridge, Isaac was able to pursue his interests in mathematics, science, and physics.
  • Later in his life, Isaac invented calculus, explained gravity, and much more. Apparently an apple fell on Isaac's head which made him explain physics. He also would stair at the sun then he would lock himself in a dark room for days until his vision was back and repeat to do some experiments which his mother told him to not do.
  • While Newton was developing calculus, a man named Leibniz was also developing calculus. When Leibniz published his results to the public, a bitter feud grew between the two men, and then Newton claimed plagiarism. It lasted until Leibniz died.
  • Newton was quiet interested in alchemy. He experimented on a lot of objects , and used a huge amount of mercury. High levels of mercury may have contributed to Newton's early death. Newton died with no wife and no known children.

  • As well as being a scientist, he investigated religious issues. He read the bible daily.Newton did not like how the Christian interpretations of the bible were. An example of this is that he rejected philosophy of the Holy Trinity.
