The Persian wars strengthened the power and self-confidence of the Greek city-states. The Greeks won the war after almost a half-century of fighting. During the Persian wars, Persia tried to do many surprise attacks. The Persian Wars made Persia more scared of Greece and the power they held. A sense of unison between the city-states also formed- later leading to an alliance called the Delian League.

Near the end of the Peloponnesian wars, when the battles were over, Athens got scared of being defeated and ran into their city walls and tried to wait the war out. Meanwhile, Sparta cut off all the food supply going into Athens. Soon enough, Athens surrendered due to starvation throughout the people. This impacted Greece because with Athens defeated, harmony between the states was restored and eventually led the city-states into becoming one big empire.
I know but we ran out of food a few days ago! There is nothing we can do except keep pushing forward.

Wow look at this new city called Alexandria! It was designed by Alexander the great and this place looks and feels like a Greek town, even though we aren't in Greece!
One very important thing Alexander the Great did was he built towns called Alexandria which spread Greek culture throughout the lands. This impacted Greece because with all the new land Alexander had acquired, he spread Greek traditions, agriculture, architecture, beliefs, and more!
Yeah it's so cool! The architecture and plants are just like the ones back in our Greek town!
