  • The three witches are deciding where to meet again. They decided to meet during sunset after the battle is over. They will meet MacBeth there. There is a use of repetition here when the witches start speaking by saying where .

  • Act 1 Scene 2
  • Ross is telling Duncan that the Norwegian king wants a treaty. Ross the king he must pay them 10,000 dollars. Duncan tells Ross that the Thane of Cawdor will never betray him and he will be executed. This is foreshadowing because MacBeth will be crowned Thane of Cawdor soon.
