I was known as a slave to some but I ran away and I was told by Luke that I could stay here during the winter.
Why are you in my cabin? Are you a slave?
Character vs Nature
Stay calm and go up the ladder. Everything will be fine.
ROARRRRRRRRR
Character vs Character
Okay I'll leave.
How dare you leave the Tavern! You are fired!
I'm so sorry.
I know that this is an example of character vs society because Ezekial is talking about being an ex-slave and how he had to run away from his home to survive. During this time period, slavery was normal and a part of society and he wanted out. That is why this is an example of character vs society.
I know that character vs nature is being used because a bear, which is considered nature, is in Lyddie’s cabin and causing her to have to scare it away. It is something that she has to overcome, which is a conflict. She is having to protect herself and her family from nature. That is why character vs nature is used in this scene.
I know that this is an example of character vs character because Lyddie is having an argument with another person and getting fired, which changes her life. Fighting with another person is also considered character vs character, which makes this scene an example of that conflict.
