Nickel is mined underground in ore deposits. The method of mining can vary depending on the miners aswell as the deposits, depth and size.
In this case the nickel is a large deposit at a depth of about 300m underground. To get to the deposit they dig a tunnel they drill small holes in the deposit, fill it with explosives and blow it up. It is then picked in and delivered to the surface in trucks.
It is then emptied into semis which deliver it to the factory for the ore to be processed.
After being delivered the ore is crushed 4 times into a powder and mixed with water into a semi-liquid
Semi-liquid is then put through a series of flotation tanks separating the nickel from everything else
It is then thickened, by taking away most of the water and turned, into nickel concentrate and taken away to be refined
