  • Great idea, initiate the law to transport our soldiers
  • I suggest we can impose an Quartering Act where the colonist a forced to pay for the housing of our soldiers. We can disguise this as the soldiers protecting the colonies from Native Americans
  • This is unnacceptable. Since the colonies failed to oblige to paying the taxes, what shall I do? The boycotts are out of control, they should be punished.
  • The Quatering Act of 1765
  • Message from King George III, each household will offer to quarter one British soldier. Anyone refusing will be considered treason.
  • Yeah! Get out of here!
  • Did we agree upon this law, why should we pay for your soldiers. Everyone chant with me, "no taxation without representation!"
  • I am just obeying the law madam...

  • Whats with all the comotion? Why is there a soldier occpuying our house, dear? What happened to salutary neglect?
  • Did you not hear about the Quartering Act? Apparently we must provide our hospitality, food, and laundry. This is outrageous. We have paid the previous taxes, we cannot afford to supply resources to the soldiers.
  • Just 3 months after the British Government passed the Stamp Act, King George III decided to pass a NEW LAW, called the Quartering Act. Britain planned to send between 6,000 and 10,000 soldiers to North America. This allowed Britain to save money, because soldiers are expensive.
  • The colonist reacted terribly to this news, many colonist's felt that this was an invasion of privacy, and the presence of a soldier threatened their safety. Many colonist did not have extra beds, so they restorted to sleeping in barns, while the soldiers selpt in their beds.
  • This stirred greater resentment towards Great Britain, colonies began to show resistance through abusing the soldiers which will eventually result in the Boston Massacre.
