- Exposition: Annamarie and her friend Ellen who is Jewish live in Copehhagen, Denmark during World War 11.
- Rising Action: The Nazi's are rounding up the Jews for 'relocation' and so Ellen stays with Annamarie and her family she and poses as her sister while her parents flee to saftey.
- Rising Action 2: Anamarie's family take Ellen with them to their Uncle Henrik's house. There they can sail across the sea to Sweeden where their are no Nazi's.
- Climax: The Climax happens when Annmarie is asked to carry a basket with a handkerchief that held something that would enable the Nazi's dogs from smelling the Jews that the Johansen's were hiding on they boat to sweeden. While Annmarie does this she is confronted with Nazi's and their snarling dogs but she stays strong when they question her and she is able to throw them off and complete her mission.
- Falling Action: Ellen and her family arrive safley in Sweeden, and even though Annmarie wont see her friend again, she is safe.
- The war ends and Annmarie keeps Ellen's Star of David that she gave to her unill she comes back.
