- Markus and Jonah are roommates. They've been living together for years, but they've mostly stayed out of eachother's lives.

- Until one day, when Markus decides to check under Jonah's bed for something he lost. But instead he finds something horrifying.

- Underneath the bed Markus found a seemingly innocuous book. Out of idle curiosity he decided to flip through it. However what he found inside horrified him. It described a strange terrifying ritual, one which required a human sacrifice. And Markus was to be that sacrifice.

- No sooner had Markus finished reading the book did Jonah barge into the room. giving him an evil grin. When Markus demanded answers he gave them with pleasure. He explained that Markus was to be their sacrifice to summon forth a being from beyond this world. With stomach-churning detail, he explained how they would mutilate and tear apart Markus' body, before the entity would bust from inside his heart.
- Without another word Jonah left, locking Markus inside the bedroom. He banged and pleaded to be let out, but nobody fcame.
- When at last Markus' pleas were answered, it was not Jonah who entered, but instead two men dressed in black cloaks. They dragged Markus out of the house, carrying him down a path into the forest. He fought and cursed them all the way.
