- Prince Hamlet is a prince so he is looked up to by many, he is very popular and well known he is looked to be a role modle for a young and he guides the old.
- Antagonist
- Prince Hamlet has a large sense of pride, he aloud his pride to get in the way of killing his uncle he is very confident in himself and the decisions that he makes.
- Catastrophe
- Prince Hamlets tragic flaw is his inability to act, he says he is going to go through with something and then backs out last second. For example his inability to commit suicide, and his inability to come with terms to kill his mother.
- Claudius, Hamlets uncle is his main antagonist he is a politician drive by sexual appetites and starvation for power he rarely shows signs of guilt or human-like feelings however his love for Gertrude seems sincere.
- The catastrophe in the play is at the end when everyone goes "hay wire" and Hamlet and Laertes duel, Gertrude and Claudius duel and everybody dies.
