- Person Vs Nature-Cole thoughts show that he wants to win and he wants to fight the bear. It ends up happening and he gets beat up and hurt. The bear is against him and ends up attacking him and he gets really hurt and has to get cared for. His thoughts impact the conflict because it was his choice to fight the bear.
- Cole alone on the Island-Person Vs Self (Internal Conflict)
- I want to live.
- Person Vs self-Cole thinking this tells us that he wants to live and that he is going to try to survive on the island. This impacts the conflict because Cole is deciding by himself, with himself, that he wants to live. He has to decide by himself that he wants to live and he needs to persevere through it.
