- The Norwegians and King Harold's brother (Tostig Goodwin) had reached York near an old bridge at Stamford. and were confident, they would take over the country. As soon as, King Harold heard the invasions, he hurried over and it took him four days to reach
- The Vikings had been so confident that they forget their armour in their ships which was long way back. One Viking, singlehandedly Killed 40 Englishmen by himself. However, a soldier went under the bridge and stabbed him.
- The Viking guardian of the bridge was now killed nd they had made it through. The battle of Stamford bridge took 4 hours an it was very gory
