- The Neolithic Revolution occured around 12,000 years ago it was the critical transition that resulted in the birth of agriculture. The innovation of agriculture was the best innovation of this period, so was the new farming methods. The effects of this era were domestication of new crops and animals.

Innovations are transportation, large scale irrigation , the steel plow, crop rotation
- The Green Revolution was the emergence of new varieties of crops, specifically wheat and rice varietals, that were able to double if not triple production, it helped diminish malnutrition across the country. Innovations include pesticides and fertilizer and genetically developed crop varieties.
