Oh my goodness! James I've been looking for you all week! Why have you been isolating yourself and look so sad?
I'm sorry Jessica, I've been going through some stuff I don't want to talk about at the moment
Hey, it's okay to be upset and talk about it! Everything will be okay I promise.
James's friend Jessica finally finds him hiding on the steps of his home after avoiding her for a whole week.
The guys wanted to go hiking and I chickened out Casuse I'm afraid of the wilderness!! Now you can see me as a small little wuss to.
James proceeds to become vulnerable and try to shoo her away because he feels as though he is helpless in his current state and situation.
Thats nothing to be ashamed of! Everyone has their own fears and its nothing to hide or be ashamed of!!
Jessica sees that James is vulnerable and very distressed about something in particular, so she proceeds to sit down next to him in order to comfort him and find out what the issue is.
I guess you're right. Thanks Jessica, you always know what to say and how to help!
After pushing the problem aside for so long, James bursts out in tears and tells Jessica the cause of his distress and sadness.
Jessica then proceeds to answer James in a jovial and respectful way with a clear response as to why it's not something he's just dealing with. She also tries to make the point that not everyone is perfect, and everyone has their own fears so it's nothing to be upset and vulnerable about.
James then begins to feel better after realizing he isn't the only one that has fears and that a lot of his friends that went on that hike have fears of many things like heights and bugs. So, he feels much better knowing that it's something completely normal to have and its nothing to be ashamed of.
