  • in 1754 the french occupied most of America along with the natives, until the British saw the capability of the ohio river valley and seized it, but the British won via cutting off the frenchs food supplies, this started everything because they had to pay for the war so they came up with the idea to make gigantic taxes on the colonists

  • in 1765 the british barracks were full so they started to occupy empty buildings, than when the empty buildings were full, the soldiers were sent to colonists homes, and the homeowners were forced to feed the soldiers like some kind of bed and breakfast. this made the colonists furious because they wanted to be a free country, not a hotel.

  • in 1770 colonists were mad about all the taxations, so they threw rocks at the guards of the tax house, then a gun went off and 5 people died. this stoked the fires of war because the colonists learned that the British were willing to kill innocents, the media blew this story way out of the water

  • in 1773 the british passed a law stating that the colonists can only get tea from India so India can get more profit, and tea was a favorite drink of the colonies so when the word out, people started to boycott tea, than some rouge colonists ran onto the ship and poured tea into the water
  • after the boston tea party, the british closed down the Boston harbor so there was no second accident with the tea, and this was the start of the intolerable acts, this stoked the fires of war because the British were pretty much pushing a child for spilling their tea except it was a whole colony
