- Bob is experiencing what is known as Frictional Unemployment. Since Bob is quitting his job voluntarily he participates in frictional employment. This results in Bob not getting any aid from the government as he has willingly quit his job in search for another.

- This is an example of structural unemployment in which is caused by a mismatch between skills and employer demands and changes, in this case they made new technology that could do the employee's job so they fired Bob. However, Bob can receive assistance from the government.
- It was fun being a teacher during the school year, but now that it's summer what do I do?
- This is an example of seasonal unemployment as it is when people work in a seasonal job and become unemployed when the demand for labor decreases. In this case the demand for teachers decreased during the summer leading to Bob not having a job temporarily.
