- The central idea is that Odysseus and his men arrive at the Island, but when they try to befriend the Cyclops, he is mean and cruel, and even eats some of his friends and traps them in a cave
- Polyphemus' neighbors ask him whats wrong
- The purpose of the Cyclops asking questions is to come up with that big joke at the end.
- The men have ran off to a peaceful place, I guess.
- The main conflict is that they could not make peace with the cyclops, and get trapped in his cave.
