- From the moment she was born, doctors didn't see a chance of her making it past her infancy. They said she would not be able to do anything a "normal" person can do. Her story proved everyone wrong. Gina was able to grow up and fight off medical complications that came her way.
- Gina's story taught me a lot about the type of educator I want to be. Students shouldn't be restricted to an isolated because of a condition they were born with. People with disabilities have the power to change the world.
- Though Gina proved everyone wrong, her and her family faced many obstacles, including proper classrooom placement in schools.
