- Prince Hamlet of Denmark's Father dies and shortly after his mother (Gertrude) remarries to his Uncle, his father reappears as a ghost asking for vengeance against the uncle Claudius
- Hamlet's friend Horatio agrees to help him with the king. His other friends Rosencrantz and Guildenstern bring actors which Hamlet uses to restage the king's murder to anger Claudius.
- Hamlet goes to confront his mother the Queen about her marrying Claudius, and upon hearing a noise kills an unseen figure who he supposed was the King. It happened to be Polonius the royal Chamberlain and he shorty died afterwards.
- After the death of Polonius, Claudius attempts to kill Hamlet by sending him to England. Finding out about the deception, he escaped and framed Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, killing them.
- Upon returning to Denmark, Hamlet finds his dead sweetheart Ophelia, Polonius' daughter. Her brother (Laertes) swears revenge upon Hamlet for driving her mad. Claudius plots with Laertes.
- A duel is scheduled between Hamlet and Laertes. Laertes' blade is poisoned and he wounds Hamlet and himself. Claudius accidently poisons Gertrude. Hamlet stabs Claudius and poisons him too, and in his final moments tells his friend Horatio to tell his story.
