- Carol you know I would be here, we have been coming here since we were little to get our only source of food it the only area the squids swim in

- Don’t worry Dave there are so many squids for the both of us we can come back for seconds together

- WHERE ARE ALL THE SQUID CAROL? WHAT ARE WE GOING TO EAT
- How am I supposed to know maybe the other whales ate them
- The whales are currently talking about how they are hungry and that they only eat squid since they were young they never ate alternatives and they are here to catch some squid in the ocean to eat this afternoon.

- So… what are we going to eat since there are no squids?
- The whales love to be in this area because they have so many different squids to choose from and if they are hungry they go back and get more squid instead of trying a different food choice.

- Couple decades later the whales continued to reproduce over the span of time because of this all of the whales were eating the same squid in the same area. This created survival pressure on the whales because they couldn’t find any more food sources (the squid) to keep them alive.

- Since the scarcity of the squids affects all of the whales natural selection takes place as only few of the whales will be able to survive through this eating the seaweed and being able to reproduce.
- Well if we do not eat anything then we will die so let try to give this seaweed a try
- As many years continued the whales reproduced and the population became bigger the whales babies now have the capability to eat both seaweed and squids adapting to their new habitat.
- We can all eat squid together another time
- Mom, Im hungry what can I eat
- Honey as of right now we are experiencing a shortage of squid so let’s eat seaweed for dinner tonight
- After some time the squids start to become more abundant because the whales were only eating seaweed for a long time when the shortage of squids occurred. Since the whales adapted the new population now can survive eating both squid and seaweed. This now gives the population relief after the loss of all the squids many years ago these whales can now rely on both seaweed and squid this is something they could not do before.
- It's ok I going to eat this seaweed tonight maybe squid tomorrow
- Don’t worry mom im hungry for both im going to eat both seaweed and squid
- Look guys I got some squid let share it for dinner
