I will go up and speak to Pharaoh to say that you are shepherds and you too shall answer that when asked. With that you can dwell in Goshen in peace for all shepherds are detestable to Egyptians.

As Pharaoh allows Joseph’s brothers to settle in Goshen as shepherds. Joseph also presents 130 years old Jacob to Pharaoh, and Jacob blesses Pharaoh. So Joseph settled his father and his brothers in Egypt and gave them property in the best part of the land, the district of Rameses, as Pharaoh directed. Joseph provides richly for his family
