- 3rd Law of Motion: Law of InteractionBoth sports cars move in constant motion and speed at the start of race. The force of static friction is what pushes the cars forward. The engine provides the force to turn the tires which, in turn, pushes backwards against the road surface. Remember what the 3rd Law of Motion says? "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction".

Due to the fact that acceleration of the cars is produced by a net force, it is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the cars.
