- It would be a really awesome party, everybody wants to get invited. I could just go and not get involved with the drugs.Or I could avoid the situation altogether and not go at all . . .

- Consider the Consequences
- If I go to the party, I'll have fun, but it will be harder to resist the drugs. If I don't go, it will be easier, but I'll miss the party.

- Leah's friend has invited her to a party that sounds really fun. But she knows there will be drugs there. Leah needs to decide if she wants to go to the party or not.
- Identify Your Values
- I care about taking care of my body, which means not taking drugs. But I also care about my social life and spending time with my friends.
- Leah has a couple options: reject the invitation to go to the party or go to the party and not take drugs.
- Decide and Take Action
- Anyways, let me know if you want to go to the party or not.
- I'm gonna sit this one out.
- Ok, that's cool! Want to come to my house tomorrow after school?
- If Leah goes to the party, it will be much harder to resist the drugs. She would be putting herself in a risky and possibly dangerous situation. But if she chose to stay home, she could miss out on a really fun and awesome party.
- Evaluate Your Decision
- I made the right decision. I will be safe, and she isn't treating me differently because of my decision.
- Leah starts to think about her values and how they may affect her decisions. She has two values that apply to this situation, which she thinks deeply about.
- After thinking about her values, Leah concludes that she cares more about her body than she does about spending time with her friends. She tells her friend that she will not be attending the party.
- Leah has dodged putting herself in a risky situation, and her friend is totally ok with her decision. Although she may miss out on a fun party, she knows that she made the right decision.
