- Pete's snake did barely anything except hide, so I called my friend Josh to see if he could take me to see the fireworks. . .
- I crawled into bed and pulled up the covers. I felt something slither up my sheets and I felt a shiver go down my spine.

- Can you swing by so we can see the fireworks at Waterside.
- She has strep. Oh, I can hear her croaking something now. See ya!
- Will! Am I glad to hear someone who doesn't sound like Popeye!

- After trying my other friends, I decieded to check on Petra's stupid snack. When I got to her room though. . .
- That's when my dad came running into my room. Pete and Mom followed. Pete's face lit up when she saw all the snakes on my bed.
- WHERE IS THE SNAKE!
- Just then, thunder sounded and the lights in the house flickered.
- I hate to admit, but I panicked. I ran to the kitchen to grab a candle and saw something large and brown twined around the curtains. . .
- YIKES!!!
- As I made a beeline for my room, I ran into Mom's china cabinet!
- AAAAGGGGHHHH! SNAAAAKKKKKEEES!!!
- My parents aren't sure how many snakes are still in the house. Pete had to give Coily away, my mom claiming she couldn't live with the snake. As for me, I'm crashing at Josh's until they find the snakes. And Dad gets me: he's staying at a motel.
- WILL! WILL! WILL!
- SNAKES EVERYWHERE! LORD ALMIGHTY!!!
