On the third day God brought forth grass and fruit bearing trees. Along with such God has these trees bear seeds for new harvests and crops. This shows understanding from God as an environmental steward as he not only creates but also helps living produce flourish. He understands that fruit will be a way for animals and human kind to come survive. Protecting not only future inhabitants but the produce as well.
“Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”
“Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens. Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”
On the fifth day God created winged animals and water bound animals. This is an example of environmental stewardship as both winged and water bound animals benefit the ecosystem by transporting nutrients. This helps reproduce plants and other living organisms. God also showed responsibility by creating an environment in which these animals could survive and benefit the future.
