Going to be getting a lot of zeros if we don't study. I can't believe you don't know this material by now. You have to multiply the -8 by the numbers in the parenthesis. Then, we get our answers negative twenty four and negative fifty six r. So, what do you have to do with the 56r Andy?
Multiply?
What a grouch.
Oh come on! What are you doing in class while I'm teaching you this?! You have to add it to the 6r which results in 61r. I'm just going to explain this problem to the rest of the class and leave this to your own because this is ridiculous. You have to add -32 to the -24 which leaves us with 8=61r. You divide 61r by the eight which gives us r=8/61, also .13 in decimal form.
Up next (sigh), Algebraic Manipulation. The equation is 4x+2/4=2x+5/3. To solve for x, you need to multiply both sides of the equation by 4 and 3 to cancel out the denominator which brings us with (4)(3)[4x+2/4]=(4)(3)[2x+5/3]. Then we use to distributive law to multiply the 3 and the four to opposite equations, leading us to (3)(2x+3)=(4)(x+7). You multiply the numbers in the parenthesis by the numbers next to them, resulting in 6x+9=4x+28. By adding and subtracting, you move the x terms to one side, and the non-x terms to the other side. This brings us to (6x-4x)=(28-9). Next, you use the associative law to simplify and get (6x-4x)=(28-9).
The bore is unbearable. Do you think anyone is going to learn like this?!
After doing this, we have our answer x(6-4)=19. We have to multiply the parenthesis which gives us 2x=19. Lastly, we divide by two which results in x=19/2, also known as x=9.5...HEY ARE YOU SLEEPING IN MY CLASS ANDY?!
Well that's too bad! I'm not going over this again!
Sorry! I didn't sleep well last night!
Okay, the last problem will be on the quadratic equation. We will be starting off with 7x^2+4x-6=5x^2+3x-29. Then because the formula is ax^2+bx+c=0, we move the equal sign to the end of the equation, making the whole equation equal to zero as well as switching the signs to the other half of the equation, making it -5x^2-3x+29. Then, you combine the like terms and the answer to our equation is 2x^2+x+23=0
Maybe if you know how to teach I wouldn't be falling asleep in your class!
