- During dinner, Mr. Lim looked at the food sadly, reminding him of his wife as he looked at her photo on the wall. He wished his children were back to celebrate Chinese New Year together.

- Pa, why did you cook so much when you knew we weren't coming home?
- Your mom always said , it is better to cook more than cook less
- Mr. Lim's children, including his son-in-law and grandson, surprised him during dinner. They cancelled all the plans they had to celebrate Chinese New Year with him.

- Cheng asked her father why he said Boon, his brother, would be home even though he actually couldn't make it. However, Mr. Lim just smiled and did not answer to her question.

- They were surprised because of so much food on the table. Cheng asked Mr. Lim why he cooked so much since he was just going to eat dinner alone. Mr. Lim's answers tear them up since his answers remind them of their mom.
- In the end, they had dinner, celebrating Chinese New Year happily.
