- The Stamp-Act was were almost every paper item had to have a stamp on it like a newspaper,legal documents, and even playing cards. Since the colonist were so angry about the taxes on other items like tea.

- The colonist didn't like the taxes even if they were paying less than the British citizens, so the referenced the Manga Carta. so then people agreed that they would boycott British goods.

- In 1767 there was another set of taxes passed on paper, glass, and other goods. Giving customs officials the ability to search everywhere to cut down smuggling of items.
