Odysseus and his men are coming back from the war. They land on an island to stop and eat. Odysseus sees another island. He takes some of his men and sails over to it.
Odysseus and his men landed on the cyclopean island. They saw a cave with sheep in it. They decided to go inside and look around. Then the cyclops came back and close the entrance.
The cyclops noticed Odysseus and his men. He ate some of the men and finished taking care of his sheep. Odysseus then gave the cyclops wine as a gift. In return the cyclops would eat him last.
The men waited for the cyclops to fall asleep. When he fell asleep Odysseus found a big tree branch. He sharpened it with a knife. Him and his men then lit it in the fire.
Odysseus and his men shoved the burning spear into his eye. It blinded him and he couldn't see anything. The cyclops opened the cave entrance, so he could let his sheep out.
Odysseus and his men rid under the sheep so the cyclops couldn't find them. They then got on the ship. They called out to him and made him throw a rock at their ship. This made them come back to shore.
