- Have you ever hear about the apartheid rules?
- to lose almost all of their rights we won less money
- than the white people and we had the most dangerous jobs
- it is bad this was a rule that made the African people
- Why are you in jail you don't look like a criminal.
- No i never heard about it but it sounds bad
- oh no! that's horrible!
- i decide to fight for our rights so we can be treated like all the people
- well here we go. like i was saying we had the most dangerous jobs
- good morning. do you still want to hear my story.
- oh. yes please!
- after 27 years Mandela was finally free after the apartheid rules was over
- I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony
- and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve.
- I have fought against white dominance, and I have fought against black rule.
- During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to this struggle of the African people
- But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.
