- Yeah so the Ottoman empire ruptured Constantinople's ancient land wall after surrounding the city for 55 days. Sultan Mehmed II was by their side.

- The population of the city had collapsed very severely that people thought it was nothing more than a little cluster of villages separated by fields. On April 2, 1453 the Ottoman army, laid blockades on the city with 80,000 men. Constantinople finally fell after two months on May 29, 1453.
